Jimmy Johnny

Hello, my name is Dimitri aka “Jimmy Johnny”. I was brought up in Queens, then moved to Massapequa and now living in East Northport. I have been shooting for over 10 years. My original passion was wedding videography. I worked for a professional photographer and have done numerous videos, capturing the most important events of a wedding. I decided that people were too demanding and decided to step away. I currently photograph wildlife and have found it not only relaxing, but medicinal. In my years of photography, I have touched many setups including Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji. Trying all these different platforms, has given me a better understanding on how to use the camera settings, but also has strengthened my game. My favorite bird to photograph is the “Bald Eagle”. My main concentration is raptors, but I also love photographing ducks and shore birds. I’m also known as the guy to buy and sell different cameras, I can sell anything! I’m in the technical field, so trying out new gear is a given. Hopefully 2021 is a better year for everyone and will give us the time and motivation to capture stunning photos!
