Finding Peace in Dark Times

We had to put our family dog down on Tuesday. She had been a part of us during the best and worst of times and always loved all of unconditionally. The excruciatingly difficult decision had to be made out of love for her. All six of us loaded up the van and took her to the vet. I have been a wreck since. Wednesday morning I headed out to Centerport with the goal of seeing the eagles and some friends. The eagles had been gone a lot lately and I didn't hold out much hope. Mom was there and flew over me. I saw some buddies. It gift to me. I have found peace through prayer and my photography. Nothing can replace our pooch but finding solace helps.
